New bands for 16th issue!

BA 2010 is dead, long live the BA 2011!
Dear BA friends, although still in 2010, the 16th edition of the Brutal Assault Festival is already knocking on doors.
We would like to say thank you again, especially for your great favor and support. We really appreciate it, thank you!

Thursday – Saturday, August 11th – 13th, 2011, this is the magic date for the 16th volume of the Brutal Assault Festival which will be held inside the Old Army Fotress in Josefov again. There is no reason to wait, so let's start with newly confirmed bands for BA 2011!

Ladies and gentlemen, let us introduce deathmetal legend MORBID ANGEL (usa), “the fathers” of crossover SUICIDAL TENDENCIES (usa), rising British deathmetallers TRIGGER THE BLOODSHED, pagan metallers SKYFORGER (lt), extreme grinders EXCREMENTORY GRINDFUCKERS (ger), thrashers SKELETONWITCH (usa) and HC/punk/metallers KVELERTAK (nor).

Another confirmed bands

There is a second round of new bands which are confirmed for next Brutal Assault.

Celebration for all technical death metal lovers is confirmation of Canadian masters of genre - Gorguts. On the other side - within the frame of classical conception of a genre there is Vader from Poland. After a period of slumber are back the butchers Exhumed with their old school death / grind.

For Celtic Frost lovers we can propose swiss revelation Triptykon and romanian pagan metal newbies Dordeduh.

First confirmed bands in 2011

Welcome in 2011, in the year of the 16th edition of the Brutal Assault festival. Let’s celebrate New Year with 3 new bands that appear in Old Army Fortress in Josefov.

Greek demons SEPTICFLESH (releasing new album this spring), French groove metallers DAGOBA and Viking metallers EINHERJER (also preparing new album) from Norway are newly confirmed for BA 2011.
More bands coming soon, keep your eyes opened.

Another line-up update

No need to hesitate, we have another line-up update.

First off, we havethe pioneers of Swedish melidic metal - SOILWORK,who have already played Brutal Assault but their latest album "The Panic Broadcast" is the right reason to remind their energic show and find out why this album is probably the band'sbest one up to date. Lovers of pure black metal will be pleased by Norwegian true combo TSJUDER. The hardcore scene will be represented by young hope from England, YOUR DEMISE who already proved their potential on last year's Never Say Die Tour.

If everything goes as scheduled, we will have another update later this week so stay tuned!

CATHEDRAL, ASPHYX and NORTHER confirmed for BA 2011

This will be a very special show! British doom/stoner veterans CATHEDRAL, headed by former Napalm Death front man Lee Dorian, will appear at the Brutal Assault festival 2011. The band have recently announced their „retirement“ from the scene and they plan to play only several concerts by the end of this year. Brutal Assault will be one of the last gigs for this legendary band.
Among newly confirmed bands are also Dutch doom/death-metallers ASPHYX and Finnish melodic-death metal band NORTHER.

Brutal Assault announces new bands: ANATHEMA, HAIL OF BULLETS, SCAR SYMMETRY

British legendary doom-metal band ANATHEMA has been confirmed for Brutal Assault 2011. After 3 years from their last appearance at the BA Festival they are coming back with their great new album "We're Here Because We're Here".
Other newly confirmed are Dutch death metal band HAIL OF BULLETS and Swedish melodic death metallers SCAR SYMMETRY.

MOTÖRHEAD confirmed.

It is confirmed. Legendary British band MOTÖRHEAD headed by rock icon Lemmy Killmister have been announced as the headliner of the Brutal Assault Festival 2011!
MOTÖRHEAD, over three decades synonym for wild, fast and loud rock’n’roll, performed with an unrivalled ruthless attitude, will appear at the Old Army Fortress in Josefov with their new release „The Wörld Is Yours“.

BANDS update and information about TICKETS presale

Let’s go on with three new bands. Brazilian/American metal icon SEPULTURA returns to the BA Festival! After last year’s unexpected changes on the schedule when many of you BA-fans missed their appeareance, SEPULTURA will come back again in summer 2011. Please, consider their return as our apology for last year.
American hardcore band FIRST BLOOD and Norwegian avant-garde metal band RAM-ZET have been also confirmed as new acts for this year’s Brutal Assault Festival.

From now till April 30th, 2011 you can buy e-tickets from the first edition of BA-tickets at a reduced price of 1257CZK (approx. 52,40 EUR) via PayPal system! From May till the end of July there will be the second edition on sale at a reduced price of 1357CZK (approx. 56,60 EUR). For more information click on the "Tickets" section .

BA confirmes new bands published

Finnish „battle metal“ warriors TURISAS, German thrash/death metallers DEW SCENTED and „marijuana-themed“ death metallers CANNABIS CORPSE are newly confirmed for the BA Festival.

Line-up is becoming stronger: CRO-MAGS, EXIVIOUS, AHAB

Pioneers of the legendary NY HC scene were among the first acts to fuse hardcore punk with thrash metal in the late eighties. Their debut album „The Age of Quarrel“ became a cult. CRO-MAGS! Among newly confirmed bands is also re-united Dutch fusion metal act EXIVIOUS (featuring musicians from Cynic and Textures) and German funeral-doom metallers AHAB.

Norwegian demons SATYRICON will destroy the Old Army Fortress

Josefov’s church cross begins to shake… One of the most influential black metal bands ever, Norwegian SATYRICON, has been confirmed for this year’s BA festival. Be ready for new songs from their upcoming album!

Other newly confirmed bands are Russian-singing Finnish doom metallers KYPCK and Canadian modern metal band THREAT SIGNAL.
