Brutal Assault confirmes: The Dillinger Escape Plan, Forbidden, The Exploited

It is the right time to get on with new bands confirmed for BA 2011.

Neurotic ensemble of mathcore professors THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN, Bay Area thrash metal legend FORBIDDEN and Scottish punk veterans THE EXPLOITED are newly confirmed acts for the Brutal Assault festival 2011!

New bands for BA 2011

BA line-up is becoming stronger. Experimental hardcore band HORSE THE BAND, well known for their 8-bit Nintendo-influenced sound, American slam death metal band WAKING THE CADAVER and French death/grindcore band BENIGHTED have been confirmed for Brutal Assault 2011.

ARCHITECTS and UNEXPECT confirmed for BA 2011

British metallers ARCHITECTS are newly confirmed for Brutal Assault 2011. Progressive metal hardcore band has just released their new album “The Here and Now”.

Other newly confirmed is Canadian avant-garde extreme metal band UNEXPECT. Eccentric ensemble has set a May 31 release date for its new album “Fables Of The Sleepless Empire”.

New movements on the roster

KATATONIA, together with Opeth a leading representative of current Swedish progressive metal scene will appear at the Brutal Assault Festival. KATATONIA is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year so be ready for a special show!

Other confirmed is well known American female fronted industrial metal band GENITORTURERS.

BA confirms CRYPTOPSY and NERVECELL. Nevermore and Norther canceled

This year’s line-up is almost complete. As one of the last confirmed band has been confirmed Canadian deathmetal killing machine CRYPTOPSY headed again by Jon Levasseur, former lead guitarist and major creative contributing force behind “None So Vile”, “Whisper Supremacy”, “And Then You’ll Beg…” who has returned to the band.

Next confirmed are United Arab Emirates-based death/thrash metallers NERVECELL with new album “Psychogenocide”.

Due to Jeff Loomis and Van Williams leaving the band, NEVERMORE announced that they would be cancelling all their planned shows, including BA 2011. Another canceled band is Finnish NORTHER, in this case for non-professional work of their agent.

We will intensively look for adequate compensation.

KATAKLYSM and TÝR added to BA line-up

In short succession we are back with two newly confirmed bands for the BA 2011.

Canada based death metallers KATAKLYSM are coming back to the Old Army Fortress after 3 years! This time with their last album „Heaven’s Venom“.

Another confirmed are Faroese Viking metallers TÝR with new album „The Lay of Thrym“.

Another slots occupied by KREATOR and UNEVEN STRUCTURE

Dear BA fans, thank you for your actual support and interest in this year’s BA Festival. We are almost ready with the final line-up. Next trio contains one of the last bands for the 16th volume of the festival.

Let’s start with the highest caliber. German thrash metal veterans KREATOR will play Brutal Assault for the first time! One of the most influential and successful European metal bands will rock the Fortress.

Next confirmed have been French ambient/experimental band UNEVEN STRUCTURE.

Brutal Assault announces line-up changes

We would like to inform you about several changes in the program. British band Architects have been replaced by Canadian hardcore band COMEBACK KID, Cro-Mags by American thrashcore band SWORN ENEMY and Polish FRONTSIDE moved up from Wednesday’s Warm Up party to replace Waking The Cadaver.
