Christian Olde Wolbers e Raymond Herrera hanno avviato una battaglia legale per i diritti del nome Fear Factory. Ecco quello che ha detto il batterista in una recente intervista:

"We're [Christian and I] actually still in FEAR FACTORY. There's a big legal battle going on right now. Essentially, what's happened is Dino [Cazares, former FEAR FACTORY guitarist] and Burt [C. Bell, FEAR FACTORY singer] have become friends again and they decided to start a new band, and furthermore, they decided to call it FEAR FACTORY. They never communicated with us about it, and they're acting like there was never any contract, but there's four members that are Fear Factory Incorporated — which is the four of us — so it's almost like them two against us two, so it's kind of a stalemate. Moving forward, I don't know what's gonna happen with the trademark, so to speak. It's kind of a weird situation, but it's not a situation that we created that was weird."

Anche a me queste cose stan veramente sul cazzo. Al mondo non ci sono solo la notorietà e i quattrini derivanti da un cazzo di monicker, ci dovrebbe anche essere l'onestà intellettuale di ammettere che, quando c'è una spaccatura così netta, la band non esiste più e nessuno ha più il diritto di usarne il nome.

Mentre infuria la battaglia legale tra "vecchi" (Christian Olde Wolbers e Raymond Herrera) e "nuovi" (Burton C. Bell e Dino Cazares, cui si sono aggiunti per l'occasione Byron Stroud e Gene Hoglan) membri della band in merito all'utilizzo del marchio FEAR FACTORY, questi ultimi sono stati costretti a cancellare alcune date europee previste per l'estate (tra cui il Sonisphere Festval con i METALLICA e l'intera tournee tedesca) proprio a causa degli strascichi giudiziari attualmente in corso.

Ma che cazzo fate...? Capisco che i "fighi" della situazione siano Burton e Cazares, ma metterla nel culo agli altri due, che si sono sempre fatti il mazzo, e che hanno tirato fuori album secondo me ottimi anche senza il ciccione? E poi devono anche stare zitti? MAH!
